I’m grateful for all the talented partners, creative directors, and mentors I’ve had over the years. Thanks to you, I know what it means to be a mindful and respectful creative leader. Below are a few things I’ve accomplished as one:
• Led a team of over 16 creatives that helped rebrand Nationwide. We grew the account from 7mil to 11mil with a brand platform grounded in their brand promise. Created multiple campaigns across all media with Peyton Manning and musical stars like Brad Paisely, H.E.R, Leslie Odom Jr., Tori Kelly and others.
• Launched Chobani with a campaign that used real tweets from customers. That might not sound innovative now, but in 2009 it was the first of its kind. Back when tweets were still called tweets and brands were nacent to the platform.
• Represented the USA in the 2002 Cannes Young Lions Competition. We won a Silver Lion and didn’t sleep that week.
• Helped an agency win their first ever Cannes Lion.
• Co-founded a brand innovation studio. Manufactured.nyc acts as a shepherd and champion for tangible brand engagement ideas. Advertising that doesn’t look like advertising is always more interesting.
• My work has been recognized by every major award show and I even judged a few, too.
• Part of New Business teams that won: Nationwide, Coors Light, Denny’s, and Coca-Cola.
• Nominated as “Most Promising Copywriting Student” while at Syracuse University. I liked that it awarded potential and gave me something great to work towards. It’s a carrot I’m still relentlessly chasing. At Ogilvy we called it Divine Discontent.
• Produced multiple pro-bono, pro-active, and pro-difference making campaigns over my career to address issues like opiod abuse, child car seat safety, thyroid cancer awareness, and substance addiction stigma.
